CONVERSATION: How UNCG birthed a STAR

Well...this shouldn't be hard to figure out. At least I don't think it should lol. For those of you whom have taken the time to take a peek around my social pages you may have noticed how intellectual I tend to be at times and I must say I owe it all to my education with a splash of upbringing. Anyway, I graduated in 2017 with a major in psychology and a minor in religious studies. Now you probably thinking "what that got to do with Geisha?". See what had happened was I realized that business administration was NOT my bag and I was doing horribly as far as grades go so I sat out (involuntarily, not ashamed to admit) for one year. Over the course of that year a series of fortunate and unfortunate events occurred that made me say "bitch...what is life right now and what will it be?". I self reflected for a while, thought about what I am naturally good at, and what I will enjoy doing until I retire. I could dance pretty well, I enjoy making people's days, and believe it or not I been participating in the performing arts since I was knee high to a grasshopper (voluntarily and involuntarily). Any who, Once I got back in school and made it to my last semester I ran out of freaking elective courses to take that would apply to my major...all except ONE... "DIGITAL MUSIC COMPOSITION 1". Maaaan if someone would've told me this is how artist/producers make music a long time ago I probably would have an washed up Disney Star by now lmaoooo. Nah I would never, but the point it everything happens when the time is right. Thanks to UNCG I was able to mature enough to hold my own weight and stop making excuses. I learned how to study and teach myself anything I wanted. And as an alum... I simply feel its my due diligence to show and teach others that if you really put your mind behind something and say that's what you want to do then you will become who you need to be to accomplish your purpose. -Geisha (@zaammnn_zaddy)
